England's Road Through Three Countries
England, the 2019 champions, have one of the most varied routes at the 2027 Cricket World Cup. Five group matches take them from Namibia to South Africa and Zimbabwe, and if they reach the Super Seven stage, a projected run of six more fixtures could add Tshwane, Victoria Falls, Cape Town and Durban. That is up to seven host cities in three countries, so this is a World Cup best followed with a map and a flexible plan.
This guide follows England match by match, with the venue, what each city offers between games, and which fixtures are confirmed and which are projected. England are in Group B with New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and a qualifier still to be decided.
Group Stage: Windhoek, Gqeberha and Harare
Windhoek, 8 and 13 October
England start against Bangladesh on 8 October and face Sri Lanka on 13 October, both at the Namibia Cricket Ground in southern Windhoek, a venue of roughly 7,000 seats. Namibia is hosting its first men's World Cup, and the five days between matches suit a slow look at the capital. Christuskirche, a German colonial-era church, and the Alte Feste fort, which houses part of the National Museum, sit close to the centre. On Post Street Mall, fountains and displays feature Gibeon meteorite fragments, and the Tintenpalast and its Parliament Gardens are an easy walk. The Namibia Craft Centre is a good place for souvenirs, a guided tour of Katutura shows another side of the city, and Daan Viljoen, a game reserve in the hills west of town, makes a half-day outing.

Gqeberha, 16 and 23 October
England meet South Africa on 16 October and New Zealand on 23 October at St George's Park, so the Eastern Cape port is a base for two of the biggest games in Group B. Addo Elephant National Park is roughly an hour's drive away, and in the city Route 67 is a tribute to Nelson Mandela made up of 67 giant steps and 67 public art pieces by local artists. The Donkin Heritage Trail covers about 5 kilometres past 51 historic sites, which is a gentle way to fill a morning before the weekend fixtures.

Harare, 20 October
Between the two Gqeberha games, England travel to Zimbabwe for a match against Qualifier B at Harare Sports Club. The opponent will not be known until the qualifiers finish in early 2027. In the city, the National Gallery shows Shona stone sculpture and paintings by local artists, with free entry, and Africa Unity Square marks the site where Harare was founded in 1890. The Harare National Herbarium and Botanical Gardens hold more than 900 shrubs and trees, and the Epworth Balancing Rocks are about 12 kilometres from the centre. The granite hills at Domboshava, about 30 kilometres away, are known for prehistoric rock paintings.
Super Seven: Tshwane, Victoria Falls and Beyond
The ICC's projected schedule pre-seeds England into the Super Seven, provided they qualify by finishing in the top three of Group B or as the better fourth-placed side. Group points do not carry over, and opponents can change if a seeded team misses out, so treat everything in this section as projected and keep bookings flexible.
Tshwane, 27 October
England v South Africa at Centurion is the projected opener. Tshwane is known for its jacaranda trees, which usually peak in mid to late October. Spend the rest of the trip at the Union Buildings, Freedom Park, the Voortrekker Monument and Church Square.
Victoria Falls, 30 October
England v Pakistan at the new Mosi-oa-Tunya International Cricket Stadium gives fans a few days at one of the world's great waterfalls. A boardwalk of about 1.5 kilometres on the Zimbabwe side takes one to two hours and is best in the dry season, when the spray is lighter. The Victoria Falls Bridge links Zimbabwe and Zambia and is the launch point for bungee jumps, with a 111 metre drop. A Zambezi sunset cruise lasts about two hours, and a helicopter flight over the falls takes around 20 minutes. Guided visits to Devil's Pool, on the Zambian side, are possible in the dry season, which runs from September to December, and Chobe National Park in Botswana is about 1.5 hours away for a day trip.

Cape Town, 2 November
England v Sri Lanka at Newlands shares its suburb with Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, on the eastern foot of Table Mountain. The Table Mountain Aerial Cableway climbs from Tafelberg Road, and Robben Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 18 years, is reached by ferry from the V&A Waterfront. Out on the peninsula, Cape Point has a funicular and a historic lighthouse, and Boulders Beach near Simon's Town is one of the few places to get close to endangered African penguins. The colourful houses of Bo-Kaap are worth an hour on the way back.
Durban, 5 and 8 November
Kingsmead, a 25,000-capacity ground close to the beach, could host England twice, three days apart: against Australia on 5 November and New Zealand on 8 November. The Golden Mile, a beachfront stretch about 6 kilometres long, has shark nets and lifeguards year round, and uShaka Marine World is the country's largest aquarium. Victoria Street Market sells spices and crafts, and Umhlanga, about 16 kilometres up the coast, has a promenade and a lighthouse. Bunny chow, a hollowed-out loaf of bread filled with curry, is the local classic, and Florida Road is one of the best places to try it.

Gqeberha, 11 November
The last projected Super Seven match returns England to St George's Park, against India. The Donkin Heritage Trail and Route 67 are covered above, and Kragga Kamma Game Park is a quick option close to the city for anyone who missed Addo earlier in the tour.

Semi-Finals and the Final
The knockouts follow in South Africa. The first semi-final is at Newlands on 17 November, the second is at Centurion on 18 November, and the final is at Wanderers Stadium on 21 November. England's semi-final venue will depend on where they finish in the Super Seven.
Plan Your Trip
Start times vary across the tournament, with both 10:00 and 12:30 local slots in use, so confirm each England kick-off on the official schedule before booking transfers. Namibia, South Africa and Zimbabwe are all on UTC+2, so there is no time change when you cross a border. Windhoek is warm, with October highs averaging about 29°C, while spring days on the South African coast and highveld generally sit between about 20 and 28°C. By November the interior is into summer, with afternoon thunderstorms in Tshwane, so pack for both.
CrickBuster packages can combine guaranteed official match tickets, hospitality seating, stadium and airport transfers, accommodation, flights and excursions, which helps on a route that crosses two borders and changes city every few days. Flexible routes are also available, so contact the CrickBuster team to know more.
