Minor League Cricket Kicks Off Fifth Season in USA on August 28

Following a record-breaking Cognizant Major League Cricket (MLC) season, Minor League Cricket (MiLC) returns for its much-anticipated fifth edition.
The action kicks off on August 28, with 26 teams across four divisions and two conferences competing for the coveted Championship title.
Reigning Champions & Season Format
Defending champions Chicago Kingsmen, who edged past the East Bay Blazers in last year’s thrilling final, will aim to repeat their success. Each team will play 10 divisional matches, with the top two sides from each division advancing to the Super Eights Playoffs in Grand Prairie, Texas. The season culminates in the Championship Final on October 5.

- Houston Hurricanes have rebranded as the MetroPlex Tracers.
- Kings XI Dallas joins the league as an expansion franchise.

- Monank Patel (MINY) – Bart King Domestic Player of the Tournament & MLC champion – signs with Atlanta Lightning.
- Rushil Ugarkar (MINY) – MLC Final MVP – returns to the East Bay Blazers.
- Hammad Azam (SFU) – rejoins the Chicago Kingsmen.
- Corne Dry (LAKR) – moves from Atlanta Fire to The Philadelphians.
